There is something to be said for what we teach kids about feeling. Because those kids become teens and those teens become adults. And if we don’t start teaching our kids that their feelings are as real as their skin and our teens that their feelings matter more than their homework, then our adults will either writhe in a straight jacket of numbness or spend their entire lives untangling false perspectives to learn how to feel again.
